please be aware that we will merge this PR [1] to ILIAS 8 soon.

Jour Fixe decided to backport the mighty Data Table [2] to ILIAS 8, so plugins and customizations can begin to use it. We tried hard to avoid breaking changes in the backport, but we still want to warn you in case we did not suceed entirely:

Please be a little cautious when updating to the next ILIAS 8 minor. You might experience problems regarding some UI components (Inputs, Data Table, View Controls), especially interfaces in the Inputs of the UI framework. If so, please create according mantis reports.
