Dear Colleagues,

please recognize that we now have almost entered the "Security Support Phase" [1]. ILIAS 8.18 will be the last version of ILIAS 8 that contains regular bugfixes. After that version only security fixes will be provided for ILIAS 8 until the end of this year. Once 8.18 is released, we will close the branch for all commits. Only Fabian Wolf, as release manager, will still be allowed to commit changes.

For the security fixes we have agreed upon a process [2] to push changes. The goal is to keep the changes confidential until we release a new version that contains the change. Please make sure to understand and follow that process.
