Dear list members,
due to the change of the ILIAS 9 release schedule[1], the Technical
Board decided that ILIAS 9 will support[2] PHP 8.1 and PHP 8.2. The
support for PHP 8.0 will be dropped. This allows our developers to write
modern and sustainable code and to stay current with the accelerated
release policy of the PHP project.
We are aware that changing PHP versions at such a pace is a new and
exciting development and imposing challenges for many developers (and
administrators), but in order to keep the code of ILIAS in a state,
where it does not silently degrade, we see no other option but following
the lead of the programming language.
If there is anything we can do to help you here or if you have any
suggestions, feel free to contact us, as always.

Reminder for all core developers and developers interested in creating PRs for CSS/Less:
* As announced in the JF, Dev. Conf. and CSS Squad, due to major refactorings in our CSS/Less Code Base, changes to Less/CSS are closed down from the 12.09 untill the 10.10. Please do not commit any changes to CSS/Less during this time. If this causes issues, please contact timon.amstutz(a)unibe.ch<mailto:timon.amstutz@unibe.ch> .
* ILIAS 6/7/8 are not affected by this refactoring and remain open for changes.
* Please keep me in the loop if PRs contain CSS changes for 8, since I will need to migrate them to trunk after the refactoring manually.

This is a quick notification about a breaking change relevant for T&A
Question plugins in the current 7.13 release.
The fixing of
https://mantis.ilias.de/view.php?id=28356https://mantis.ilias.de/view.php?id=18793
requires a new parameter to be introduced to the fromXML method.
Fix came with:

Please double check with your plugin-question maintainers if they are aware
