Dear developers,
As informed at yesterday's JF, we (Richard Klees and I) kindly ask you to
have a final look into the PR which moves the initialisation of the UI
framework to the new component bootstrap mechanism (
https://github.com/ILIAS-eLearning/ILIAS/pull/7969).
The most important changes, besides the UI framework, are inside the
Init-Service, with some small changes along other components.
If there are no objections made directly in the PR, we will merge it next
week.

Dear developers,
with this e-mail, the Technical Board likes to make you aware of the
upcoming "Dependency Jour Fixe" on December 9th.
It will be a session dedicated to looking over the dependencies, and
being able to deal with all of them in the shortest possible time will
save us all a lot of time.
So please, check your code for external dependencies (npm/composer) and
report them in for the next ILIAS release according to the documentation
[1].
An example PR can be found here [2].
We will of course be able to process stragglers on regular Jour Fixe
sessions afterwards, but the number of these will be limited and those
not making it will not be allowed into the codebase.
In order to be sure your component remains in a functional state, do not
miss the date to submit your PR by December 8th to just get over with it
on the first wave in December.

Dear developers,
due to a necessary change in "ilCtrl", we had to accept an "incomplete"
PR [1] (almost a year ago) requiring changes in many components. The
majority of issues, where the required changes in the consumers of the
service were obvious, seem to have been resolved in the meantime.
The remaining 55 problems are in places that require an in-depth
understanding of the according code authorities in each case.
As this is an open issue for a good while, we like to point out that we
need all hands on deck to get this step done.
Please review this PR and check for eventual markers in your components
at the earliest possible time.
