Hello everyone, We have resolved most of the possible issues which have been introduced by the data-table backport that Richard has mentioned earlier today. See the following commits for more detail: - https://github.com/ILIAS-eLearning/ILIAS/commit/f82125c4f261abc341f45e05453… - https://github.com/ILIAS-eLearning/ILIAS/commit/102b0fd6878c65bc9f9919c9315… Please note there is still one breaking change to the `FormInput::withRequired()` method, which gained an additional, optional parameter that could not have been reverted. Custom inputs implementing this method would be required to add this parameter as a fix. However, since optional inputs are an allowed interface deviation, plugins with such a fix remain compatible with ILIAS versions above and below 8.11. Feel free to contact us in case we have missed some other breaking changes. Possible Problems for Plugins with ILIAS 8-Backport of Data/Table

Hello everyone, Fabian and Thibeau of sr.solutions discovered a possible problem for plugins with the backport of the UI-Data/Table to ILIAS 8. The problem might affect your plugin if: * your plugin already works with ILIAS 8 * your plugin implements a UI Input Component for the UI Framework If you maintain such a plugin, I would appreciate if you'd contact me. For the backport we had to switch the method `Input::isClientSideValue` from protected to public. Einladung zur Gründung der SIG Nachhaltige ILIAS-Plugins

Liebe Mitglieder der ILIAS Community, wir freuen uns, Euch mitteilen zu können, dass wir die Gründung einer neuen Special Interest Group (SIG) mit dem Namen "Nachhaltige ILIAS-Plugins <https://docu.ilias.de/goto_docu_grp_14280.html>" planen. Das Hauptziel dieser SIG NIP ist es, Maßnahmen zu entwickeln, um die Zuverlässigkeit und Stabilität von Plugins zu gewährleisten. Weitere Ziele könnten sein, die Standardisierung von Prozessen voranzutreiben, die Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der Community zu stärken, die Weiterentwicklung von Plugins transparenter zu gestalten und Personen, die an Plugins interessiert sind, miteinander zu vernetzen. Die genauen Ziele sollen gemeinsam innerhalb der SIG definiert werden. Obwohl bereits verschiedene SIGs und Gremien existieren, die sich mit spezifischen Plugins befassen, möchten wir betonen, dass unsere geplante SIG lediglich eine Ergänzung und Unterstützung für die ILIAS-Community darstellen soll. Wir streben bewusst an, Überlappungen oder Doppelstrukturen mit bestehenden Initiativen zu vermeiden. Das Kick-Off Meeting ist für den 14.05.2024 um 11 Uhr im virtuellen Konferenzraum (BBB <https://docu.ilias.de/goto_docu_xmvc_14284.html>) der SIG "Nachhaltige ILIAS-Plugins" auf ilias.de geplant. Data Table Backport to ILIAS 8

Dear colleagues, please be aware that we will merge this PR [1] to ILIAS 8 soon. Jour Fixe decided to backport the mighty Data Table [2] to ILIAS 8, so plugins and customizations can begin to use it. We tried hard to avoid breaking changes in the backport, but we still want to warn you in case we did not suceed entirely: Please be a little cautious when updating to the next ILIAS 8 minor. You might experience problems regarding some UI components (Inputs, Data Table, View Controls), especially interfaces in the Inputs of the UI framework. If so, please create according mantis reports.
